"As
a Taiwanese transfer student at the age of 15, I
encountered difficult years in my secondary
school time in Singapore. The “O” Level results were
not as bad as I thought they were going to be, but it
was certainly difficult for me to enter the next phase
of my educational career. I faced several dilemmas and
had no idea where I wanted to go after secondary school.
I blindly signed up for many local programs but did not
get through even one of them. But just as most people
began to lose confidence in me, my life turned around
unexpectedly by my experience at a private school in
Singapore with great professors and a wonderful academic
program.
American College offers the best Associates
Degree program in Singapore. Partnering with Broward
Community College (Florida), this program
opened doors for me that I didn't even know
existed. The
professors were fantastic and the coursework
stimulating, and because of the BCC program at American College , I was suddenly qualified
to join any one of dozens of top universities in the
States.
After
completing a couple of semesters at American College, I successfully
transferred 24 credits into Hofstra University, in New
York. I finished my Bachelor’s Program in Finance in
just two years' time because of the credits granted to
me from BCC. As I look back on my achievements, I am
indeed grateful to this program. Without it, I would never have achieved my
dreams. American College broke
down education barriers, and allowed me to reach career
goals that otherwise would never have been reached.
The good memories I have of my educational life
began at American College, and I am proud to be an alumnus."

"I wish to thank Broward Community College
for giving me the foundation I needed to be where I am today.
When I was a student at Broward, I couldn’t understand why I had to learn so many subjects,
from history to music to art. But now, a finance graduate from RMIT,
I realize that the grounding I received from Broward helped me to
widen my horizons and become a more rounded person. It is true that
we appreciate something when we no longer have it, because now I find
myself fondly reminiscing over my American Literature and
Art Appreciation lessons that I used to find particularly hard.
So I just want to say ‘thank you’ to Broward Community College and
particularly Dr. Hamilton for helping me to get where I am today." |

"Broward
Community College at American College
in Singapore has prepared me well for University level
work. I recommend students in Singapore who intend to
pursue their tertiary education in the U.S. to join the
BCC program. It is definitely less expensive to study in
a U.S. college in Singapore, compared to studying in a
college or university in the U.S. Needless to say, I am
proud to be an alumni of American College."

"At
BCC in Singapore, I had total freedom of choice and the
beauty of it is that all my credits are transferable to
my degree course in the States."
